Setting up the "device", or the NUCLEO + add-on board combination, is a simple two-step process:
- On the NUCLEO board, set JP5 (next to the reset button) to E5V: this allows the add-on board to provide power to the processor.
- Stack the add-on board onto the NUCLEO board. As shown in the image below, the top-left corner of the add-on board (marked with a white circle) should line up with the top-left of CN7 on the NUCLEO board (marked by a small blue dot).
Press the add-on board down to secure the connections.
That's it! If the processor is programmed with the proper firmware, you can confirm everything is correct by powering the "device" through the add-on board's USB connector. The status LED should turn white for a couple seconds, followed by a steady blinking green.
